Dead Island 2 sollte ursprünglich Anfang 2015 erscheinen. Die Entwickler brauchen mehr Zeit und haben via Twitter angekündigt, dass das Spiel auf 2016 verschoben wird.
Die Berliner Jungs von Yager arbeiten weiterhin an Dead Island 2. Wann dieses allerdings fertig wird bleibt ein großes Fragezeichen. Ursprünglich sollte das Spiel im Frühjahr 2015 erscheinen. Später hieß es dann, dass man es auf „irgendwann 2015“ verschiebt. Gerüchte besagten, dass es im Sommer 2015 nun soweit sein sollte. Aber auch das scheint falsch zu sein!
Via Twitter gaben die Entwickler nun bekannt, dass Dead Island frühestens 2016 erscheinen wird. Auf Twitlonger gab man dazu eine Stellungnahme ab.

And we wanted to have all of that that done for release in Spring 2015.
We have been looking at the game long and hard, and we have decided we didn’t reach that goal we set out to achieve quite yet. This is why we have decided to delay Dead Island 2 to 2016.
Right now we are focusing purely on development, and we will have more info to share at a later stage.
We know that our fans will be disappointed by this news, but by giving Dead Island 2 more time we are confident that everyone will get a better game to play as a result.
